A better slytherin common room idea: what if you had to talk a portrait into letting you in? you'd have to be sly, as the portrait will pick a new argument each day as to why it wont let you in (although older students know that the portrait is very nosey, and will let you in if you tell it a secret) (which is also how the portrait always seems to know a perfect argument against each person)
